Dato’ Dr. Wan Zawawi bin Wan Ismail has been appointed as KUM’s General Manager on 1st July 2020. Prior to this appointment he served as Chief Executive Officer at Kelantan State Economic Development Corporaion (SEDC). As CEO of SEDC which is a well-known GLC involving 24 subsidiaries in various industries, he had demonstrated a strong working history especially in the field at Human Capital Development, Entrepreneur Development, Business Planning and strong negotiation skills. He also initiated in the setting up of the Kelantan Foundation for CSR purposes which amounted to about RM2.0 million/year.

He had also served as Assistant Director at Center for Informational Resources and Technology (CIRT) – Telecoms University from 2008 – 2009. In August 2009, he joined IAB Genting Highlands, Malaysia as a Senior Lecturer of Leadership and Management until August 2013. Later, he joined the Kelantan State Economic Development Corporation as a HR Manager on September 2013. After that, he was appointed as a Group Deputy CEO of Kelantan State Economic Development Corporation from July 2014 until July 2018.

He has also been appointed as the Executive Director of the Air Kelantan Sendirian Berhad, Majaari Services Sendirian Berhad and a Chairman of Kezaro Resources.

He has been awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Kelantan which carries the title Dato’ in 2016. He received the Certificate of Excellence from The Ministry of Education in 2010, Master Trainer Certificate and Trainer in Leadership and Management in 2009.
